"Bluetooth off..." / "Wired input on..."

The original smaller Fugoo speaker will correctly say "Bluetooth off" when an audio cable is connected to its audio input jack.

The bigger Fugoo XL speaker will correctly say "Wired input on" when an audio cable is connected to its audio input jack.

If your speaker says "Bluetooth off"... "Bluetooth on" or "Wired input on" when no audio cable is connected, the speaker mistakenly thinks that an audio cable is being connected, and then disconnected.

Here is a helpful workaround which will keep the speaker's Bluetooth link working, by shutting off the wired audio input. Start with the speaker off. Press and hold the + and O buttons, then also press the Power button. The speaker will say “Speaker is on. Wired input off.” (for both the small and XL speakers).

Your speaker will now not recognize an audio cable plugged into the audio input connector, but Bluetooth connections will work perfectly -- so that you can still enjoy playing music wirelessly. This is a permanent fix for this problem.

If your speaker is still within its one year warranty coverage period, we can replace it for you. It takes two - three weeks from the time you ship your speaker to us to receive a refurbished replacement speaker. To request replacement, send an email request to Fugoo Support at support@fugoo.com. The speaker just goes straight to "bluetooth off" after powering on. i have to power it on everytime while holding the + and o button. Even then it still suddenly turns bluetooth on and off from time to time. Is this a software problem? Won't there be any updates. To fix this.?

    Aleon,

Unfortunately there is no other way to make it work. When this is happens it is considered a defective unit. If you would like please email us at support@fugoo.com to begin the replacement process.

This really sucks! Having to trick the speaker into Bluetooth mode. It appears from the posts that there is a known problem with the Fugoo hardware/software Their answer is send it in and get a refurbished unit? Really? How about you guys get a software/hardware fix or recall the things and have retailers exchange them for new (hopefully updated) replacements.

Or maybe Figoo doesn't see the value of increased market share and customer retention?

If it ain't broke...oh wait! It is broke! Do something (better) about it!
