Removing a Style Jacket

To remove the Style Jacket from the Core, turn the unit upside-down, and locate the metal latch, marked with a teal triangle.

While lifting up on the latch, push the core partway out of the jacket in the direction indicated.

Turn the unit back over, and continue to slide the Core free of the Jacket.

Installing a Style Jacket

To install a Style Jacket, turn both the Core and Jacket upside down, and align the two teal arrows as shown.

Move the Core around to the end of the Jacket, and slide it in, in the direction of the teal arrows.

As the Core slides into the Jacket, you'll hear a click as the latch grabs hold, securely holding the Jacket onto the Core.

Removing a Sport Jacket

To remove a Sport Jacket, turn the unit over and, using a Philips screwdriver, remove the two screws shown.

The black rubber bottom piece comes off.  Grab one end of the piece with one hand and pull straight down.  It helps to hold the top edge of the black piece in at the top, so that it slides down (and not out) to disengage the tabs that are inserted into the teal part.

The black part will pop free, as shown below.

Flip the unit over and do the same thing to the other end, and the black part will come free.

Remove the black steel mounting plate from the bottom of the unit.

Locate the latch on the underside, marked with a small teal arrow.

While pulling up on the latch, slide the Core out of the Jacket.

Installing a Sport Jacket

To install a Sport Jacket on the Core, locate the teal arrows on the Core and the Jacket's latch.

Slide the Core into the Jacket, pushing the Core's arrow toward the Jacket's arrow, as shown.

Lay the black steel plate into the matching depression on the underside of the Jacket, with the raised Mounting Socket facing out.

Without dislodging the steel plate, put the black bottom piece on the Core as shown, and push straight down.  If the end-piece tabs don't engage automatically, just push them in until they snap into place.

Install the two Philips-head screws as shown to secure the Jacket and Mounting Plate to the Core.

You're done!

Removing a Tough Jacket

To remove a Tough Jacket, turn the speaker over and remove the two Philips-head screws.

Then turn the speaker on either side, and, using an Allen wrench, remove the four screws in each corner.  This only needs to be done on one side. (Do not remove the six middle screws.)

Lift the Jacket side panel straight up.

Remove the black steel plate that sits along the bottom of the Core.

Lift the Core up and out of the Jacket.

Installing a Tough Jacket

To install the Core into a Tough Jacket, lay the Core into the disassembled Jacket, making sure that the Volume buttons line up; + to + and – to –.

Drop the black steel mounting plate into the slot between the bottom of the Core and the Jacket, with the raised mounting socket facing out.

Install the other side panel by pushing it straight down over the four corner-posts.

Using the Allen wrench, install the four screws, one in each corner.

Install the two Philips-head screws to secure the Jacket and Mounting Plate to the Core.

You're done!

Like the style cover's simple one-click and you are done for both removal and install.
